How do I migrate my NVIDIA GRID machine to a new machine?

To continue using Paperspace as a VDI solution, create a new dedicated GPU machine and move your data from the NVIDIA GRID machine to the new machine.

You cannot directly convert an NVIDIA GRID machine into a dedicated GPU machine. Templates are also not compatible between NVIDIA GRID machines and GPU machines, so you need to create a new machine instead of reusing the existing one.

After you create the new machine, transfer any files or data you want to keep from the NVIDIA GRID machine by using FileZilla, Windows Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP), Secure Copy Protocol (scp), or wget. You can also use a cloud storage service such as Dropbox or Google Drive.

Before you delete the original machine, make sure you have copied all required files, project data, and configuration changes to the new machine.

If you need help planning the migration or moving your data, contact Paperspace support.

Can I make BIOS-level changes to bare metal GPUs?

Request BIOS-level changes to bare metal GPUs through a support ticket. Some changes require reprovisioning.

Why is a speed test for my bare metal GPU showing slower network speeds?

Public speed test servers often do not reflect actual network performance for bare metal GPUs. Use iperf or real-world endpoints for more accurate results.

Make sure NVIDIA Fabric Manager is running and has the same version number as the GPU drivers.
