Usage

doctl compute droplet-action password-reset <droplet-id> [flags]

Description

Initiates a root password reset on a Droplet. We provide a new password for the Droplet via the accounts email address. The password must be changed after first use.

This also powercycles the Droplet.

Example

The following example resets the root password for a Droplet with the ID 386734086:

doctl compute droplet-action password-reset 386734086

Flags

Option Description
