Droplet Details

DigitalOcean Droplets are Linux-based virtual machines (VMs) that run on top of virtualized hardware. Each Droplet you create is a new server you can use, either standalone or as part of a larger, cloud-based infrastructure.

We offer a variety of Linux and container distributions, and all Droplets integrate with other DigitalOcean products and features, like tags, reserved IPs, volumes, cloud firewalls, DigitalOcean Load Balancers, and more.
We offer five different kinds of Droplet plans: one shared CPU plan and four dedicated CPU plans.
Regional datacenter availability for Droplets.
Limits and known issues for Droplets.
