Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)

Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is a proprietary protocol developed by Microsoft that is used to provide users the ability to connect to another computer through a graphical interface remotely over a network.

RDP supports different types of networks and LAN protocols in order to provide a complete desktop experience with access to applications and administrative tasks remotely. Furthermore, RDP includes security measures such as encryption, authentication, and resource management.
