A hop is the travel of a packet from one network to another, in order to get to a target destination.
A hop count is the total amount of intermediate networks that a packet traverses to reach that destination.
Due to our network design, traceroute diagnostics between Droplets may incorrectly display 100% packet loss during the last two hops.
