High-availability Control Plane

High-availability control plane is a control plane that has multiple replicas of each control plane component.

Multiple replicas of control plane components ensure that a redundant replica is available when a failure occurs. Thus, a high-availability control plane provides increased uptime and 99.95% uptime SLA for applications.

To reduce downtime, you can enable the high-availability (HA) control plane setting when creating clusters on DOKS versions beginning with 1.21.3-do.0. HA for the control plane costs $40 per month, prorated hourly.
