Droplet-Based Resources

Droplet-based resources are a category of resources within a DigitalOcean Project.

Droplet-based resources are resources that are used to maintain and manage Droplets. The resources that are Droplet-based include attached volumes, backups, snapshots, and reserved IPs.

Droplet-based resources belong to a project through an associated Droplet, and you can access these resources through the associated Droplet.

Independent resources are DigitalOcean resources that cannot interact with DigitalOcean Projects.
Project-based resources are DigitalOcean resources that are always associated with a DigitalOcean Project.
