In addition to creating a Droplet from the Virola Messenger 1-Click App using the control panel, you can also use the DigitalOcean API. As an example, to create a 4GB Virola Messenger Droplet in the SFO2 region, you can use the following curl command. You need to either save your API access token to an environment variable or substitute it in the command below.

Getting Started After Deploying Virola Messenger

Note: Virola Server and Virola Client do not provide web UI.

All server configuration is done via desktop or mobile Virola Client app.

To start managing your server, team, and workflow:

  1. Install Virola Client for your operating system from Virola website

  2. Login to the installed Virola Client with the following credentials:

    • Host - your droplet public IP address
    • Port - 7777
    • Username - admin
    • Password - stored in your droplet /root/virola-admin-password
