Creating an App using the Control Panel

Creating an App using the API

In addition to creating a Droplet from the NextGenSwitch 1-Click App using the control panel, you can also use the DigitalOcean API. As an example, to create a 4GB NextGenSwitch Droplet in the SFO2 region, you can use the following curl command. You need to either save your API access token to an environment variable or substitute it in the command below.

Getting Started After Deploying NextGenSwitch

Connect to your Droplet using SSH:

ssh root@your_droplet_public_ipv4

Open the setup wizard in your browser to create your admin login:

http://your_droplet_public_ipv4/setup

Complete the setup, then reboot the Droplet (either from the DigitalOcean control panel or via SSH):

reboot

After the Droplet restarts, open the main dashboard and sign in with the credentials you created:
