How to Track Action Gateway Usagepublic
Last verified 21 Sep 2026
Action Gateway connects applications and AI agents to tools through a managed MCP endpoint or SDK, with the accounts and permissions you choose. See What You Can Build for standalone agent examples.
Every tool call through the gateway is traced. Action Gateway aggregates those traces into usage and performance views for a time window.
Insights data can lag live activity by up to 15 minutes, so a recent tool call may not appear right away.
Busy periods can also exceed the raw sample of 5,000 tool-call rows. When that happens, some detail charts draw from a capped sample, and the Control Panel notes that some activity could not be read from the raw sample. Time-series and totals use full-window aggregates and stay up to date even when the sample is capped.
View Action Gateway Usage
- In the Control Panel, go to Managed Agents and open Action Gateway.
- Select the Insights tab.
- Choose a window from the time range menu: Last 1 day, Last 7 days, or Last 30 days.
Insights are summarized in the following for the selected window:
- Total Requests: Tool calls made through the gateway.
- Success Rate: Share of tool calls that completed successfully.
- Providers: Distinct providers your agents called.
Available Charts
For each insight, you can view the following charts:
- Requests over time: Total requests across the selected time window.
- Tool Usage: Stacked usage over time by tool or provider series.
- Top tool calls: Most frequently invoked tools in the selected window.
- Tool Status: Composition of tool result statuses, such as success and error.
- Provider usage: Call volume compared across providers.
- Latency by provider: P50 and P95 tool latency per provider.
Use them to spot slow providers, find tools that fail often, and see which tools your agents call most.
Filter Results
Narrow the charts with the Providers and Tool Status filters. Each filter offers Select All and Deselect All, and Clear filters restores everything. Selecting no provider or no status leaves the charts empty until you choose at least one of each.
Filters apply to the charts only. The three cards always cover the full time window.
