How to View All Firewall Rules Applied to a Droplet
Last verified 22 Jun 2026
DigitalOcean Cloud Firewalls are a network-based, stateful firewall service for Droplets provided at no additional cost. Cloud firewalls block all traffic that isn’t expressly permitted by a rule.
To see the firewall rules currently applied to a Droplet, click the Droplet’s name, then click the Networking tab. The Firewalls section displays the rules each attached firewall enforces on the Droplet.
The Inbound Rules and Outbound Rules tables list each rule’s type, protocol, port range, source or destination, and the cloud firewall the rule belongs to.
When the Droplet has no firewalls attached, the section displays a message saying so and a Manage Cloud Firewalls button that links to the firewalls overview page.
When you apply more than one firewall to the Droplet, the rules from all attached firewalls appear together in the same tables. The Cloud Firewall column identifies which firewall each rule belongs to. To learn how to combine firewalls effectively, see organizing firewalls.
You can click any Firewall’s name to configure the firewall’s rules.
