DigitalOcean MicroVMs are lightweight virtual machines that run a container image in an isolated kernel, pause automatically when idle, and resume on the next request with memory, files, and processes intact.
The DigitalOcean API
The DigitalOcean API lets you manage resources programmatically with standard HTTP requests. All actions available in the control panel are also available through the API.
MicroVMs use the /v2/microvms endpoints. For the objects, endpoints, and fields, see MicroVMs API and doctl Reference.
The DigitalOcean Command Line Client, doctl
doctl is the command-line interface for the DigitalOcean API. It supports most of the same actions available in the API and DigitalOcean Control Panel.
MicroVMs use the doctl compute microvm commands, in doctl v1.173.0 and later. For the commands and flags, see MicroVMs API and doctl Reference.
