Monitoring How-Tos
DigitalOcean Monitoring is a free, opt-in service that gathers metrics about Droplet-level resource utilization. It provides additional Droplet graphs and supports configurable metrics alert policies with integrated email Slack notifications to help you track the operational health of your infrastructure.
Getting Started
Install the metrics agent on Droplets to enable extended metrics and enhanced monitoring features, like metrics-based alerting.
Create resource alerts to receive notifications via Slack or email when metrics exceed a threshold you set.
Monitoring Management
To prevent us from analyzing process name data in aggregate as part of feature prioritization, you can opt out of process name collection.
Upgrade Droplets running the legacy metrics agent, deprecated on 8 July 2019, to the current metrics agent.
Remove the metrics agent package or repository from Droplets.
