How to Suppress Findings

Validated on 31 Mar 2026 • Last edited on 31 Mar 2026

Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) evaluates your DigitalOcean resources for misconfigurations and security risks, surfaces findings by severity, and provides guidance to help you resolve them.

You can suppress findings that are not relevant to your environment to reduce noise and focus on issues that require action. Suppression hides a finding from your active view but does not fix the underlying issue. The resource continues to be evaluated in future scans.

Suppression is available only in paid plans. Once available, you can suppress all types of findings.

Suppress a Finding from the Issue List

  1. In the Control Panel, click Security in the left navigation.

The Security page opens with the CSPM tab selected.

  2. Locate the issue you want to suppress.

  3. Click the “more options” menu next to the issue.

  4. Click Suppress.

Suppress a Finding from Issue Details

  1. Click an issue to open the issue details view.

  2. In the Affected Resources section, locate the resource.

  3. Click the “more options” menu next to the resource.

  4. Click Suppress.

Suppression applies to the specific finding and resource combination. Other findings under the same issue are not affected.

Remove Suppression

To restore a suppressed finding click the CSPM Settings tab. Locate the suppressed finding in the Suppressions section, check its checkbox to select it, then click Unsuppress. If the underlying issue still exists, the finding reappears in future scans.
