In general, a DigitalOcean resource is an instance of a DigitalOcean product. For example, when you create a new Droplet, you’re creating a DigitalOcean resource.
A project’s resources are the resources on your team that are organized into that project. Some products have associated resources. For example, a Droplet’s associated resources include any snapshots of the Droplet or volumes attached to the Droplet.
In App Platform specifically, a resource can also refer to any deployable, billable, runtime software element in your app, like workers, services, or static sites.
The general term “resource” can refer to available hardware, like CPU, RAM, and disk. For example, if your Droplet’s workload is high, you can upgrade to another Droplet plan with additional resources.
