Slang and Colloquialisms

Don’t use idioms, slang, and colloquialisms as a central metaphor in your writing, and very sparingly aside.
Our audience is global, and not all slang and colloquialisms translates well outside of the founding culture.

Use “log in to” rather than “log into”.

“Backup” is a noun. “Back up” is a phrasal verb.
I need to restore from a backup. I need to back up my files.

“Setup” is a noun. “Set up” is a phrasal verb.
I completed the setup. I need to set up my workspace.

“Frontend” and “backend” are both nouns and adjectives.

Use “macOS”, not “Mac”, “OS X”, or other variants.
