# Why can't I change my team's resource limits?

If your team belongs to an [organization](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/organizations/index.html.md) and an organization owner or admin has adjusted the team’s limits, the team’s resource limits are managed by the organization. On the team’s **Resource Limits** page, the **Increase resource limit** window displays the message “Your resource limits are managed by your organization. To request a change, reach out to your Organization Admin.” and the prepayment and support request options are disabled.

To request a change to an organization-managed team’s limits, contact your organization owner or admin. Organization owners and admins can adjust team limits from the organization dashboard’s **Resource limits** tab. For more information, see [How to Manage Resource Limits for Organization Teams](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/organizations/how-to/manage-resource-limits/index.html.md).

If your team does not belong to an organization, you can request limit increases yourself. See [How to View Resource Limits for Teams](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/teams/how-to/view-resource-limits/index.html.md).
