# Can I undo restoring a Droplet from a backup? You currently cannot undo [restoring a Droplet from a backup](https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/backups/how-to/create-and-restore/index.html.md#restore-droplets-from-backups). However, if you have a snapshot of your Droplet from before restoring from the backup, you can [restore the Droplet to that snapshot](https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/snapshots/how-to/create-and-restore-droplets/index.html.md#restore-a-snapshot-on-an-existing-droplet). Otherwise, the only option is manual recovery using, for example, local copies of the Droplet’s data you may have from development. ## Related Topics [How do I migrate my Droplet to another datacenter region?](https://docs.digitalocean.com/support/how-do-i-migrate-my-droplet-to-another-datacenter-region/index.html.md): Take a snapshot of your Droplet and then create new Droplet from the snapshot in the new datacenter.
