# snapshot (private) [Manage your snapshots](https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/paperspace/machines/how-to/manage-snapshots/index.html.md). Snapshots are disk images of your machine at a specific point in time. You can use them to restore a machine to a previous state. We recommend using snapshots before taking actions that could affect the usability of your machine or its network connection. ## Global Flags These flags are available on all commands. ### –log-level, -l (string, optional) Enable debug logging.
