doctl harness-runtime files cat

Generated on 8 Oct 2026 from doctl version v1.179.0

Usage

doctl harness-runtime files cat <session> <path> [flags]

Description

Print a file from the session workspace to stdout.

The file’s bytes pass through unchanged and the guest’s exit code becomes doctl’s, so this composes in pipelines and && chains — a missing file is a non-zero exit, not a partial read. Output is capped at 1 MiB; use doctl harness-runtime download for larger or binary files. With -o json the contents are wrapped in an object alongside the path and size.

Example

doctl harness-runtime files cat sess_abc123 src/main.go
