# Network File Storage Pricing

Network File Storage is a fully managed, POSIX-compliant file storage solution built for demanding workloads like AI/ML pipelines, containerized applications, and DigitalOcean Kubernetes (DOKS) clusters. It provides scalable, high-throughput shared storage that simplifies storage management for distributed applications.

Network File Storage pricing is allocation-based. You pay a flat monthly fee per provisioned GiB, with no additional charges for operations or mounted clients. Data transfer uses [VPC networks](https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/networking/vpc/index.html.md) and is free.

## Snapshot Pricing

Snapshots cost $0.06 per GiB per month based on the actual storage used. Each snapshot’s size is equal to the amount of storage the share used when you created the snapshot.

## Share Sizing

- Minimum share size: 50 GiB (Standard) or 500 GiB (High Performance)
- Maximum share size: 32 TiB
