Creating an App using the API

In addition to creating a Droplet from the WebMaker Server 1-Click App using the control panel, you can also use the DigitalOcean API. As an example, to create a 4GB WebMaker Server Droplet in the SFO2 region, you can use the following curl command. You need to either save your API access token) to an environment variable or substitute it in the command below.

Getting Started After Deploying WebMaker Server

Once you have created your droplet, connect to it via SSH using

ssh root@your_droplet_public_ipv4

You may need to indicate your private SSH key using format ssh -i keyfile root@your_droplet_public_ipv4

You should also be able to access your droplet via HTTP, eg http://your_droplet_public_ipv4 address
