# Figranium

## Figranium on DigitalOcean

Deploy Figranium on DigitalOcean and start building browser automations in minutes.

Figranium is an open-source visual browser automation platform for creating, managing, and executing powerful browser workflows without writing Playwright scripts. Build automations visually, run them on your own infrastructure, and connect them to applications, workflow automation platforms, or AI agents through Figranium’s API and integrations.

The DigitalOcean 1-Click App provides a simple way to deploy a self-hosted Figranium instance on your own Droplet. **Figranium automatically checks for and installs the latest stable release, so your instance stays up to date without requiring manual upgrades.**

## Features

- **Visual workflow builder** — Build browser automations visually without writing complete Playwright scripts.
- **Automatic updates** — Your 1-Click deployment automatically checks for and installs the latest stable Figranium release.
- **Powerful browser actions** — Navigate pages, interact with elements, fill forms, extract data, capture screenshots, execute JavaScript, and more.
- **API execution** — Trigger saved browser workflows programmatically from other applications and services.
- **Self-hosted** — Run Figranium and your browser automation infrastructure on your own DigitalOcean Droplet.
- **AI and automation integrations** — Connect Figranium to AI agents and workflow automation platforms through its API, SDK, MCP server, and integrations.
- **Modern web support** — Automate dynamic web applications with configurable waits, selectors, and support for complex page structures.
- **Built on Playwright** — Get the power of modern browser automation through a higher-level visual workflow experience.

## Deploy on DigitalOcean

Create a Droplet using the Figranium 1-Click App and DigitalOcean will provision the environment required to run Figranium.

Caddy is included and preconfigured as a reverse proxy, allowing you to access Figranium directly through your Droplet’s public IP address without specifying an application port.

Once deployment completes, open your Figranium instance in your browser, create your account, and start building browser workflows.

Figranium automatically checks for new stable releases every hour. When an update is available, the latest Figranium container image is pulled and the deployment is updated automatically. Your persistent Figranium data and captures are preserved across updates.

You can optionally point your own domain to the Droplet and configure Caddy to automatically provision and renew HTTPS certificates.

For more demanding browser workloads or concurrent automations, choose a Droplet with additional CPU and memory resources.

Figranium is open source and designed to make powerful browser automation accessible without requiring a managed browser automation service.

## Software Included

| Package | Version | License |
|---|---|---|
| Docker | | Apache-2.0 |
| Caddy | | Apache-2.0 |

## Creating an App using the Control Panel

Click the **Deploy to DigitalOcean** button to create a Droplet based on this 1-Click App. If you aren’t logged in, this link will prompt you to log in with your DigitalOcean account.

## Creating an App using the API

In addition to creating a Droplet from the Figranium 1-Click App using the control panel, you can also use the [DigitalOcean API](https://docs.digitalocean.com/reference/api). As an example, to create a 4GB Figranium Droplet in the SFO2 region, you can use the following `curl` command. You need to either save your [API access token](https://docs.digitalocean.com/reference/api/create-personal-access-token/index.html.md) to an environment variable or substitute it in the command below.

```shell
curl -X POST -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
         -H 'Authorization: Bearer '$TOKEN'' -d \
        '{"name":"choose_a_name","region":"sfo2","size":"s-2vcpu-4gb","image":"figranium"}' \
        "https://api.digitalocean.com/v2/droplets"
```

## Getting Started After Deploying Figranium

## Getting Started

Your Figranium instance is ready to use after the Droplet finishes provisioning.

### 1. Open Figranium

Visit:

`http://your_droplet_public_ipv4`

Caddy is preconfigured as a reverse proxy, so you do not need to specify Figranium’s internal application port.

On your first visit, create your administrator account and sign in.

### 2. Create your first automation

From the dashboard, create a new task and use Figranium’s visual editor to build your browser workflow.

You can automate navigation, clicks, typing, data extraction, screenshots, JavaScript, and other browser interactions.

### 3. Use the API

Figranium includes a REST API for executing tasks and connecting your instance to external applications, AI agents, and workflow automation platforms.

Your API key is available from Figranium’s settings after signing in.

### Optional: Configure a custom domain and HTTPS

First, create an `A` record with your DNS provider that points your domain or subdomain to:

`your_droplet_public_ipv4`

Then SSH into your Droplet and edit the Caddy configuration:

`/etc/caddy/Caddyfile`

Replace the default configuration with:

```
your-domain.example.com {
    reverse_proxy 127.0.0.1:11345
}
```

Allow HTTPS traffic:

```
sudo ufw allow 443/tcp
```

Then validate and reload Caddy:

```
sudo caddy validate --config /etc/caddy/Caddyfile
sudo systemctl reload caddy
```

Once your DNS record resolves to the Droplet, Caddy will automatically provision and renew an HTTPS certificate for your domain.

Your Figranium instance will then be available at:

`https://your-domain.example.com`
