# How to Use Security Advisor

Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) evaluates your DigitalOcean resources for misconfigurations and security risks, surfaces findings by severity, and provides guidance to help you resolve them.

Security Advisor is an AI-powered layer within the DigitalOcean security experience that helps you understand and act on CSPM findings. It summarizes your security posture, highlights the most important issues, and provides guided actions to help you remediate faster.

Security Advisor uses results from your most recent scan. It does not run automatically or update in the background. To see updated results, run a new scan first.

## Open Security Advisor

1. In the [Control Panel](https://cloud.digitalocean.com), click **Security** in the left menu.

The **Security** page opens with the **CSPM** tab selected.
2. Click **Security Advisor**.

Security Advisor displays a summarized view of your findings organized by severity and impact.

## Review the Summary

The summarizer provides a high-level view of your security posture. It highlights key findings, groups issues by severity, and helps you understand what to address first. The summarizer is available in all plans.

## Take Action

From Security Advisor, you can:

- Apply Quick Fix for supported findings. Quick Fix allows you to resolve certain findings directly from the security experience without navigating to other areas of the Control Panel. Quick Fix is available only in paid plans and supports a subset of findings.
- View manual remediation steps for the selected finding.
- [Suppress the finding](https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/cspm/how-to/suppress-findings/index.html.md) if it is not relevant to your environment.
