# How to Run Scans

The DigitalOcean Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) dashboard lets you scan your DigitalOcean resources for cloud misconfigurations and security risks. The dashboard lists issues by severity and provides mitigation steps for resolving them.

To run scans, go to the [Control Panel](https://cloud.digitalocean.com), click **Security** in the left menu, go to the **CSPM** tab, and click **Scan Again**. Scans take a few minutes to complete and create no downtime for your resources.

After scanning, all detected issues appear in the **Issues** table, which lists their severity, type, resources, detection time, and security type.

For a summary of the resulting issues and advice on which to prioritize, click **Security Advisor** at the top of the page.

For more details, click the issue you want to learn more about. The **Overview** section provides general details, technical details, and the business impact of the issue. The **Mitigation Steps** section provides instructions on how to resolve the issue.
