# Agent Data Services Limits (private)

DigitalOcean Agent Data Services is a fully managed service that turns raw multimodal and behavioral data into AI-ready data that you can query as soon as it arrives.

DigitalOcean Agent Data Services is in [private preview](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/product-lifecycle/index.html.md#private-preview). Private previews are available by invitation only, are unsupported, and do not have SLAs. Features, APIs, and regions may change before general availability.

## Private Preview Limits

- Agent Data Services is available only in the MEM1 datacenter.
- You can use Agent Data Services through the API and the Control Panel. `doctl` and MCP servers do not support Agent Data Services during private preview.
- Queries are read-only. You cannot create, update, or delete data with a query.
- You cannot access the underlying Apache Iceberg tables or vector database directly. All queries go through the Agent Data Services query layer.
- Access control applies at the IAM level, by team role, token scope, and workspace. Per-dataset policies and row-level and column-level access controls are not available.
- Data flows are built from built-in functions. Custom, customer-written functions are not supported.
- Data flow templates are not available.
- Data flows deliver records at least once. Design downstream consumers to handle duplicate records.
- Each data flow can scale to up to 40 replicas.
- Connectors for third-party systems, such as customer relationship management (CRM) systems and issue trackers, are not available.
- Queries cannot reach data that stays in DigitalOcean Managed Databases. To use database data, export it and ingest it through a supported ingestion path.
- Agent Data Services uses its own managed vector database. You cannot connect an external vector database or knowledge base.
