# Organization Limits

- The [DigitalOcean Control Panel](https://cloud.digitalocean.com) is the only way to manage organizations. The DigitalOcean API and CLI client, `doctl`, do not support organizations.
- You must have a [valid payment method](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/manage-payment-methods/index.html.md) associated with your default team to create an organization.
- Only [users with Team Owner role](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/organizations/roles/predefined/index.html.md) can check their team resource limits and request an increase on [the **Resource Limits** page in the DigitalOcean Control Panel](https://cloud.digitalocean.com/limits).
- We do not support the [referral program](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/teams/how-to/refer-others/index.html.md) for organizations and teams that belong to an organization.
