# How to Manage Organization Billing

An organization’s **Billing** tab consolidates billing for every team in the organization. Teams that belong to an organization use the organization’s payment methods and billing settings, and the organization receives a single [invoice](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/invoices/index.html.md) covering all of its teams.

Only organization members with the [owner or biller role](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/organizations/roles/predefined/index.html.md) can access the organization’s billing information.

To manage an organization’s billing, log in to the [Control Panel](https://cloud.digitalocean.com). Click the profile icon in the top right to open the drop-down menu. Click **View Organizations**, click the organization you want to manage, then click the **Billing** tab.

## View the Billing Overview

The **Overview** page displays the organization’s estimated balance for the current month, which is the amount owed based on month-to-date usage after credits and prepayments. Credits applied, prepayments, and total usage are itemized next to the balance.

The **Month to date summary** section lists the charges the organization’s teams have accrued in the current billing cycle. All charges shown are already reflected in the current balance, and costs appear the day after you use a service.

From the overview, you can also:

- **Make a payment**: Click **Make a payment** to pay some or all of the balance early. For details on payment options and due dates, see [How to Pay Your Bill](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/pay-bills/index.html.md).
- **Make a prepayment**: In the **Account prepayment** section, click **Add funds** to pay ahead of time for future resource usage.
- **Manage payment methods**: In the **Payment Methods** section, add, edit, or remove the organization’s payment methods. The options work the same way as team payment methods; see [How to Manage Payment Methods](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/manage-payment-methods/index.html.md). Only organization owners and billers can change the organization’s default payment method.
- **View discounts**: The **Discounts** section lists the organization’s active [discounts](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/discounts/index.html.md) with their start month, end month, and percentage.

## Use the Billing Menu

The menu on the left of the **Billing** tab links to the organization’s other billing pages:

- **Billing Insights**: A daily breakdown of the organization’s spend over a custom date range, grouped by product and team. See [Spend by Date Range](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/spend-by-date-range/index.html.md).
- **Billing History**: The organization’s past invoices, viewable in the browser or downloadable as PDF or CSV files. See [Invoices](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/invoices/index.html.md).
- **Billing Settings**: The organization information displayed on invoices, including the billing address and [tax location](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/taxes/index.html.md), a [billing alert](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/billing-alerts/index.html.md) threshold, and the organization’s [purchase orders](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/invoices/index.html.md#purchase-orders). Changes are immediately visible on invoices you view thereafter.
