# Promo Codes You can redeem a promo code to apply credits to your team. Your team must have a [valid payment method](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/manage-payment-methods/index.html.md) in order to redeem a promo code and create Droplets or other resources. ## Redeem a Promo Code To redeem a promo code, go to your team’s [**Billing** page](https://cloud.digitalocean.com/account/billing). In the **Overview** tab, find the **Promo code** section. Enter the case-sensitive code in the promo code field and click **Apply Code**. Once you successfully redeem a promo code, the credits are automatically applied to your team and the **Promo code** section of the **Billing** page no longer appears. You can [view your team’s credits](https://docs.digitalocean.com/platform/billing/invoices/index.html.md#credits) in the control panel and on your team’s invoices. ## Promo Code Limits The following limits apply to promo codes: - **Each team can redeem one promo code**. If you redeemed a promo code in the past, you cannot redeem another. Your promo code history is visible in the **Billing history** section. - **Promo codes are non-transferable**. You cannot transfer promo code credits to other teams. - **Promo codes expire after 1 year**. Unlike PayPal pre-payments, which do not expire, credits from promo codes expire one year after you redeem them. Certain promotional credits, such as the Free Trial Offer, have a shorter expiration of 60 days.
